Compassion and empathy are critical components of my practice. I understand the anxiety that a visit to a thoracic surgeon can provoke. I believe that giving patients a complete understanding of their disease can help calm those feelings. It is crucial that the patient and I work together to formulate a treatment plan that keeps the patient's goals of care in mind while optimizing treatment outcomes.
