Cancer Center Research Program - 2024 Retreat

The Upstate Cancer Center will host its annual retreat on Friday, April 26, 2024, and is pleased to announce our keynote speaker will be Dr. Suzanne Conzen, M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The Retreat will feature a progress report on Cancer Center Research program initiatives, a presentation of awards, three scientific sessions of oral presentations, and a poster reception.

Dr. Suzanne Conzen, MD

Dr. Conzen is the a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and Chief of the Division of Hematology and Oncology, and Andrea L. Simmons Distinguished Chair in Cancer Research. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. An established physician-scientist with multiple National Cancer Institute grants, Dr. Conzen’s research focuses on the role of the glucocorticoid receptor in prostate, breast, and ovarian cancers. She will be speaking on her research focused on mechanisms of glucocorticoid receptor activity in breast, prostate, and ovarian cancer.

The retreat will be held on April 26, 2024 from 8am-6pm held in the Theater and Event Space on the 3rd Floor of the CNY Bioaccelerator at Upstate Medical University (841 East Fayette St.). Use the links below to register for the Retreat, and to submit an abstract for Oral or Poster presentation.
