Ithaca Foodies Day Trip
Saturday, September 21, 2019

This trip is currently on sale to all members of the Upstate community.

Details & Itinerary:

The Downtown Ithaca Food Tour is a narrated, guided tour of the heart of Ithaca. You will visit six different one-of-a-kind restaurants that showcase the incredible variety of what this town has to offer. Delicious food tastings, enough for a full lunch, will be served by these locally-owned culinary hotspots.
Between scrumptious samplings, you’ll be treated to a local’s knowledge of Ithaca’s history and culture. Your expert guide will share their love for their hometown as they showcase historic sites, architectural gems, public art, a city park in a parking space, and so much more. At the end of the tour, you’ll be well acquainted with Downtown Ithaca’s attractions, restaurants, upcoming events, and more.
The Downtown Ithaca Food Tour is perfect for Ithaca locals and visitors alike! Whether you’re a first time visitor or a lifelong “townie” we guarantee that you’ll walk away with a satiated appetite and a new perspective on Ithaca’s culture, cuisine, and community.


The bus will depart the CAB at 10am on Saturday, September 21 and travel non-stop to Ithaca.  The bus will depart Ithaca immediately following the last stop of the food tour and travel non-stop back to campus arriving at approximately 4:00pm.

Package Includes:

  • Roundtrip motorcoach transportation
  • Food tour and all tastings
  • Driver gratuity

Pricing:

  • $49 for Upstate Students; $59 for CAB Members and $69 General Rate - full payment is required at the time of reservation.  An optional $12 add on for alcohol pairing at 4 of the restaurants visited.

    Trip is limited to 42 participants. Last day to purchase is Friday, September 6 at Noon.

NYC Day Trip
Saturday, November 2, 2019

Details & Itinerary:

Our annual fall day trip to the Big Apple - a sell-out every year!  The motorcoach will depart the CAB on Saturday, November 2 at 6:30am and travel non-stop to NYC arriving at approximately 11am in midtown Manhattan in the vicinity of Bryant Park.  The entire day is yours to do as you wish.  The motorcoach will depart NYC at 8:30pm and arrive in Syracuse at approximately 1am. 

Package Includes:

  • Roundtrip motorcoach transportation
  • Continental breakfast
  • Driver gratuity

Pricing:

  • $52 for Upstate Students; $62 for CAB Members and $67 General Rate - full payment is required at the time of reservation. No increase in price from 2018!

Trip is limited to 100 participants.

New York City Spring Weekend Trip
Friday - Sunday, April 3 - 5, 2020

This trip is currently is currently on sale to all members of the Upstate community.

Details & Itinerary:

A spring weekend in NYC is unlike any other city!  Theater, shopping and sightseeing are incredible for all members of the family! The motorcoach will depart the CAB on Friday, April 3 at 7:00am and travel non-stop to NYC, arriving at approximately 11:00am.  After hotel check-in**, Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday morning are yours to do as you wish (no group activities are planned).   The motorcoach will depart the hotel at 1:00pm on Sunday, April 5 and arrive back in Syracuse at approximately 5:30pm.

  • Two nights hotel accommodations at the Hampton Inn Manhattan - Chelsea.  Hotel offers complimentary wi-fi and Hampton's free hot breakfast.

* We are pleased to announce that there is only a $15-$20/person increase in pricing from 2019, price increase dependent on room occupancy.  Increase in pricing based on NYC hotel increases.

** Hotel rooms may not be available until 3:00pm on Friday.  The hotel is prepared to store luggage until rooms are available at regular check-in time.

$100/person deposit required at the time of reservation.  Balance payment is due by Friday, February 21, 2020.  Trip is limited to 50 people.

 

CAGB Travel Policies: please review all policies carefully!

• Discount Pricing:  Upstate Students and CAB Members may purchase up to two reservations on any travel program at the discounted rate - any additional reservations must be purchased at the general rate. Please also note that the student discount applies to matriculated full-time students only. Part time students must pay the general rate.  CAB Members reserving at the discounted CAB Member rate must be members at the time of the travel program - memberships that have lapsed will result in an increase to the general rate.

• Attendees of Sponsored Trips:  Trips are open to all members of the Upstate Community, their family and friends.  Please note, however, that the individual making the reservation must be affiliated with Upstate Medical University as either a student or employee and that individual must all attend the trip.  Should the student or employee become unable to attend the trip, their guests are also unable to attend.

• Cancellation and Refund Policy: 
The Office of Campus Activities must receive all refund requests in writing at campact@upstate.edu.  If the trip you are scheduled to attend is sold out, we have a wait list and are able to resell your seats, we will refund all monies paid minus a $15 per person service charge.  If the trip you are scheduled to attend is not sold out, you may resell your seats so long as you notify the Office of Campus Activities and adhere to the policy regarding "Attendees of Sponsored Trips" as noted above.  There are NO refunds for trip cancellations received less than 15 days before trip departure.

• Persons Requiring Special Accommodations:
The Office of Campus Activities will make every effort to provide reasonable accommodations to those attending trip programs.  Please notify the Office of Campus Activities in writing at campact@upstate.edu should you or another member of your party require special accommodations. 

• Liability and Assumption of Risk:
Every effort is made to provide all participants a safe and pleasant travel experience.  Upstate Medical University, the Office of Campus Activities or the Campus Activities Governing Board assumes no liability for risk to participants participating in travel programs.  Upstate Medical University also recommends that all participants carry health insurance cards.
