Professional artists have until Friday, Dec. 6 to submit proposals for artwork for consideration for the Upstate Cancer Center. The center is designed to house more than 100 pieces of nature-themed artwork to enhance three floors of the new center, scheduled to open in 2014.

The center seeks representational and abstracted images of both the Central New York landscape and other natural environments. Images of people and/or nostalgia should not be submitted because research shows possible negative associations.

Submission criteria are detailed in the request for proposal (below) and must include a Powerpoint with five to 20 samples of work, a resume and references. Artists can obtain a request for proposal by contacting Heidi Chapman at 315-464-6065 or [email protected].
