Consortium for Culture and Medicine elective courses open to the public

It's time to register for spring courses through the Consortium for Culture and Medicine, a partnership among Upstate, LeMoyne College and Syracuse University. Members of the public who hold bachelor's degrees and who are interested in any of the courses must receive permission from the instructor prior to registration.

The four courses take place from Jan. 13 through May 7, 2013. They include:

* Native American Health and Wellness, from 6:45 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays on the SU campus.

* Medical Anthropology in Ecological Perspectives, from 2:15 to 3:25 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays on the SU campus.

* Bioethics, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays on the Upstate campus.

* Public Health Ethics, from 5 to 7:45 p.m. Thursdays on the SU campus.

Find course descriptions on the Consortium website. The courses are for upper division undergraduates, graduate students, faculty from the cooperating institutions and members of the public who hold bachelor's degrees.
