A portrait of N. Barry Berg, PhD will soon hang in the academic halls of Upstate Medical University, a lasting tribute to the man who taught anatomy to a great many physicians, physical therapists and other medical professionals throughout Central New York.

Berg joined Upstate's Department of Anatomy in 1972 and was director of the gross anatomy and anatomical gift programs from 1994 to 2011. He served as assistant dean from 1978 to 1998. He is a professor of cell and developmental biology.
