She has been a nurse for 70 years

Bush received a certificate of appreciation from Upstate, in addition to the March of Dimes honor.
Yes, she has been working as a nurse for 70 years.
She attended St. Joseph's College of Nursing and worked at a variety of hospitals, in a variety of specialties before joining Community-General Hospital 30 years ago. She has worked in pediatrics, the intensive care unit, the medical-surgical floors and orthopedics. "I think I like med-surg best," Bush says, "because I like to see patients get better and be able to go home."
Bush still works per diem in health education at Upstate. She has no plans to retire. "It never crosses my mind. My health is good, and as long as I‘m able to, and they want me, I‘ll keep working.”
