The chords of Michael Jackson's "Bad" filled the air in the Canyon area of Syracuse's Destiny USA shopping mall Friday, amid the bustle of holiday shopping. Sixteen women disguised as shoppers peeled off their coats to reveal costumes of hot pink Tshirts and silver gloves. They lined up and began dancing -- and they weren't bad.

The dancers were members of a dance class at OASIS, the program sponsored by Upstate that offers learning and service opportunities to people age 50 and older.

Real shoppers stopped to watch the women perform. Mall developer Robert Congel was spotted in the crowd. The ladies danced through a series of songs. Then they put their coats back on and melted back into the shopping throngs. Here is a snippet from the start of their performance:
