The Open Hand Theater performance, "Lions & Tigers & Bears? Oh My!" is part of the celebration Saturday Nov. 3 of the Margaret L. Williams Developmental Evaluation Center's 30th anniversary. The event also marks the 7th anniversary of the Kohl's Autism and Related Disorders Program.

The performance is from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., followed by a reception and photo opportunity with large puppets until 5:30 p.m. It will be held at May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society, 3800 E. Genesee St., Syracuse.

The Margaret Williams Center, directed by Carroll Grant PhD, offers evaluation and referrals for children up to 7 years of age and consultation services for children with autism up to 9 years old. The staff includes Grant, a medical director, a psychiatrist, psychologists, speech/language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, special education teacher and nurses. They see children with complex developmental disabilities, half of whom have autism. The Center has outreach support to day care centers, schools, and in homes for children with autism spectrum disorders. Located a few miles from Upstate University Hospital's downtown campus, the Center serves 15 counties in Central New York.
