Upstate nurses share award for 'Strong Women, Strong Hearts' event

"Strong Women, Strong Hearts" is held at the HealthLink/OASIS site in East Syracuse.
Michelle Frankfurter, Despina Garcia, Juanita Hicks, Nancy Markowski, Pat Richardson, Alicia Taylor, Liz Urban and Jamie Waterstripe helped organize the first annual Strong Women, Strong Hearts event last spring. (This year's event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at the HealthLink/OASIS Center, 6333 Route 298, East Syracuse next to the DoubleTree Hotel.)
The award is part of the 2012 Excellence in Health Care Awards, which will be presented at an awards reception at the Oncenter Syracuse. Winners will also be featured in the Central New York Business Journal.
