WomenHeart support group begins July 30

Upstate will host free monthly support group meetings for women with heart disease, through a program called WomenHeart, a national organization dedicated to advancing women's heart health through advocacy, community education and patient support. The first meeting is set for 6 p.m. Monday, July 30 at HealthLink, 6333 State Route 298, East Syracuse.

Social worker Leisha Tedford-Doherty is the organizer. WomenHeart advocates for equal access to quality care and provides information and resources to help women take charge of their heart health.
