Healthy Monday: Apples for gym members

Fruit is a rich source of fiber, which has been shown to improve digestion, regulate blood sugar and help you feel fuller, longer. How many grams of fiber do you need each day? It depends. The Institute of Medicine says children and adults should consume 14 grams of fiber for every 1,000 calories they ingest. So, if you eat 2,500 calories per day, you need 35 grams of fiber.
So try and apple (they're good for you!) or another fruit as a post-workout reward. You may find it becomes a habit.
