Meet Gennady Bratslavsky MD, Upstate's new chair of the Department of Urology. He comes to Upstate from his previous job at the National Institutes of Health, where he concentrated on urologic oncology.

Bratslavsky's clinical interests include outcomes evaluations of minimally invasive robot-assisted and laparoscopic prostate and kidney surgery. He conducts research in the areas of molecular imaging of prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer; progression of prostate and kidney cancer; and biomarkers for circulating tumor cells.

He recently was interviewed on Health Link on Air radio, airing at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 1 on Newsradio 570 106.9 WSYR.
