This year's Breathe Deeply for LUNGevity 5K takes place Sunday, Sept. 18 at Long Branch Park on the north end of Liverpool's Onondaga Lake Park. You may remember it was called the CNY Lung Cancer Walk, Run and Rally in previous years.

Register online now, or starting at 9 a.m. Sept. 18 at the park. Adults pay $25, survivors pay $20, and children pay $10. The timed run and untimed walk begin at 10 a.m. Trophies will be awarded to winners in different age groups, and the top three fundraisers will receive awards.

Celebrate a lung cancer survivor or honor a lost loved one with a customized A-frame sign containing a tribute message. The signs will be placed along the route.

The event will also include live music, face painting, a beverage and food truck, and free massages, along with a silent auction and raffle.
