Upstate University Hospital was the recipient of the Blue Ribbon Recycler Award from the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency, OCRRA. It's the first hospital to receive the honor in Onondaga County.

Today the hospital recycles 4,000 pounds of stuff per month, up from 1,125 pounds per month just a couple of years ago.

Rob Andrus, our director of environmental health and safety, and David Nettle, a recylcing specialist from OCRRA, recently spoke about the green efforts on Health Link on Air.
