Lost & Found
The New York State University Police Department has a Lost & Found for items that have been found, misplaced, left on shuttle buses, etc.
To report lost items:
Call the University Police Communications Center at 315-464-4000 and ask the Dispatcher if your missing item(s) were turned in.
Please include as much information as possible like item description in detail (color, markings, etc.) and we will let you know if it was turned in. If not, our University Police/Public Safety will check the last know location(s) and assist in locating your missing item(s).
To report/turnover found items:
Either:
- Call the University Police Communications Center at 315-464-4000 and inform the Dispatcher that you have found property to be turned in.
- Walk into room 1326 on the 1st floor of University Hospital and turn over the found property to an Officer.
When turning over property please make sure to include your name, where you found the property, and if anyone was in the area when you found the property.
If there are any identifying characteristics on the found items(s), we will make every attempt to locate the proper owner.
NOTE: If you believe that your item was stolen, please call the University Police Communications Center at 315-464-4000 and report your situation. Our University Police/Public Safety personnel will assist in filing a report.
