Genevieve holds the distinction of being the inaugural Trauma Nurse Navigator at Upstate University Hospital. In this pivotal role, she offers psychosocial support to our trauma and burn patients and is an integral member of the Mental Health Trauma and Burn team, now referred to as MTAB. Additionally, she serves as the Trauma Survivor Network Coordinator, actively participating in the Trauma Survivor's Network.  

Genevieve began her career at Upstate in 2020 as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical-Trauma Intensive Care Unit, where she also received training in the Burn ICU. Her dedication to trauma care deepened during her time at Albany Medical Center, an ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Center, where she worked in the Surgical-Trauma and Neuro ICU. Throughout her career, she has provided care for some of the most critically injured patients in New York State.  

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2020 and achieved certification as a Trauma Certified Registered Nurse in 2024. Genevieve is also an active member of both the Society of Trauma Nurses and the American Trauma Society.
