Residency and Fellowship Programs at Upstate Medical University

Vascular Surgery Fellowship

Our 2-year Vascular Surgery Fellowship is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Our mission is to provide educational opportunities in order to transform a fellow's understanding of the treatment of vascular disease through a focus on:

  • Compassionate, patient-centered care meeting the highest standards
  • Development and integration of research and technology
  • Inspiring and educating future leaders in vascular care

Upstate’s Community and University hospitals and their affiliated hospitals of Crouse Health and the Syracuse VA Medical Center serve as the prototypical academic training centers where supervised didactic experiential learning has been fostered for many decades. There is a wide range of clinical experience with a diverse patient population and varying complexity of a large number of procedures.

Our program is committed to preparing our trainees to become leaders in various settings such as academic centers, community hospitals, and military/veteran hospitals for a successful vascular surgery career.
