Clinical Rotations

Residents typically spend 36-42 months completing required clinical rotations. Residents may choose to spend the remaining 6 to 12 months in:

  • Clinical research elective
  • Elective rotations including medical oncology, radiology, and pediatric oncology. 
  • Other electives

Residents are also given the opportunity to complete elective rotations in Gamma Knife and dosimetry.

Residents are assigned to two month rotations. These clinical rotations are based on the 8 body site areas as defined by the American Board of Radiology. The sites include: 

  • Lung/STS
  • Lymphoma
  • Breast
  • Gynecologic
  • Gastrointestinal
  • Genitourinary
  • Head & Neck
  • Pediatrics (all ACGME minimum requirements are fulfilled at main clinical site)

Residents are also required to participate in the on-call schedule in which they may be called in to evaluate inpatient consults in the evenings and on weekends.
