Upstate Public Health Students
Upstate Medical University is among the 127 medical schools in the U.S. accredited by the Association of American Medical Colleges. It is also one of two Health Science Centers within the State University of New York. Upstate is the only academic medical center in Central New York. It has a teaching hospital and a children's hospital and is continually expanding its clinical operations, research enterprise and academic offerings.
The Upstate Public Health program is housed in the Department of Public Health & Preventive Medicine, a department within Upstate's College of Medicine. The College of Medicine is one of four colleges that comprise Upstate Medical University, including the Colleges of Nursing, Health Professions and Graduate Studies.
