Women’s Mental Health Program
Upstate Women's Mental Health Program is focused on providing outstanding clinical care to women across the life cycle. Beside excellence in clinical care, our team is dedicated to providing education to trainees and practicing providers to improve mental health care of women in peripartum period in central New York.
Conditions that commonly occur and are being addressed through this program include:
- Mood and Anxiety Disorders during and after pregnancy
- Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder
- Mood symptoms in perimenopausal period and menopause
- Substance use
Upstate Women’s Mental Health Program offers the following services:
- Diagnostic evaluation
- Medication consultation and management
- Brexanolone treatment
- Family education and support
- Referrals to appropriate programs
- Potential opportunities to participate in state-of-the-art research trials
