State Licensing Requirements
Licensure Educational Requirements Notice
State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA)
Upstate Medical University has made a determination that the curriculum in each of our programs meet the requirements for licensure in New York State. State requirements for professional licensure in the disciplines vary somewhat. Upstate Medical University has not determined whether the curriculum in each of our programs meet the requirements in any state other than New York State. You can find requirements for licensure for all states through the following links. Please review the requirement for licensure in your chosen discipline in the state(s) in which you hope to practice. For any questions or concerns, please contact your program director or dean of your college. This does not apply to programs that do not require professional licensure (e.g., the BS and DNP in nursing, and all degree programs in the College of Graduate Studies).
