Key Components of a Scientific Poster

    • Methods: Summarize the methodology used.
    • Results: Present the key findings with visuals.
  3. Conclusions: Highlight the implications of the findings

Design Tips for Effective Presentation

Posterboard sizes are 4x6. Please try keeping your poster size smaller than 4x5 in order for it to fit the board appropriately. If your poster is already 4x6 please contact Shaunna Arnold at [email protected]Max size is  (3.5’ x 5.5’)

Layout: Use a logical flow of information, typically from top to bottom and left to right. Organize your content into distinct sections with clear headings

Visual Elements: Incorporate high-quality images, graphs, and tables to illustrate your findings. Visuals help convey complex information quickly and maintain audience interest

Color and Typography: Choose a color scheme that enhances readability. Use larger font sizes for the title and headings, and ensure body text is readable from several feet away. Avoid clutter; a clean and organized layout is essential

White Space: Use negative space effectively to separate sections and prevent overcrowding. This makes the poster easier to read and more visually appealing
