A complete evaluation will be conducted during the initial visit. Based on the diagnosis and evaluation findings, a customized physical therapy treatment plan will be developed to reduce symptoms and work towards your specific goals. Treatment may include manual therapy, modalities, taping application, therapeutic exercises, balance, gait training, and education on your diagnosis and shoe wear recommendations.

Preparing for your first visit

The initial visit will entail a complete review of past medical history, specific tests and treatment plan. Please bring the following items to the initial evaluation:

  • A current physical therapy referral from your provider - A list of your past medical history, medications, and allergies - shoes you wear most often, and any current shoe inserts or orthotics
  • Loose clothing for the assessment and future therapy visits is recommended
