PGY-2

PGY-2 year will introduce you to the field of physiatry and all that it has to offer. It will be a busy and exciting year where you will manage teams in our inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) both at Upstate (University Hospital) and the Spinal Cord Injury unit at the VA. You will learn to do outpatient procedures including EMGs and joint injections at our facilities at the Bone & Joint Center and Township 5. Inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation rotations are also assigned during this year. These rotations will change every 1 to 2 months.

After completing this year you will know the basics of rehabilitation in an acute rehabilitation setting, spinal cord injury, pediatric PM&R and have the opportunities to perform both EMGs and joint injections.
