Career Opportunities

Comprehensive clinical, education and research opportunities are provided by expert academic faculty in general pediatrics, pediatric sub-specialties, and other related specialties. Fellows become part of the national network for Child Abuse Medical Provider Program (CHAMP), funded by the New York State Department of Health to support provider education. This program, led by the CARE team and faculty across New York State, provides opportunities for case review and participation in web-based educational seminars.

Fellows build skills through clinical activities with interdisciplinary professionals, help to innovate new teaching and research methods, and are eligible to earn a Certificate of Advanced Study in Public Health. The program prepares highly marketable physicians for rich careers in any geographic location, as leaders in clinical care, as educators to colleagues and the community, and as scholarly researchers.
