Students took part in Upstate’s Welcome Fest, held at the Campus Activities Building this week to escape the rain, and had opportunities to connect with dozens of student groups, offering games and goodies. Among those making connections are the Meds Peds Interest Group, Surgery Club, Wilderness Medicine, Medical Students for Choice, Global Health, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, among others.

TEE TIME QUINTET: The Towsley Pro-Am to benefit the Upstate Foundation teed off on Aug. 1 at Kaluhyat Golf Course at Turning Stone Resort. The tournament raised a record-breaking $190,000. The team representing C.R. Fletcher posted the lowest score and was the 2022 tournament winner. Team members, from left, are Wesley Burghardt; Dennis Colligan, CNY PGA Pro from Cazenovia Golf Club; Tom Fletcher; Chris Fletcher and Pat O’Donnell. Forty-eight foursomes and 70 other tournament sponsors participated in support of the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Fund held at the Upstate Foundation.
