The Hyperdrive update modernizes the software and to allow for increased efficiency. Epic will look and act much like it does today but there will be some visual changes. Screens will be information rich and require fewer clicks and screen flips. Some tools will move to more efficient locations and some actions that used to take 2 or more dialog boxes have been merged to reduce clicking and screen changes. Patient charts will put more information at your fingertips. Note templates in Hyperdrive are also easier to use.
This change will not materially change Epic's function and how you use it. To prepare for some of the visual changes that will occur, we suggest doing the following so you can hit the ground running after the update.
- Be prepared: we will be sending education materials. Please review all emails about "Hyperdrive."
- Visit the Hyperdrive information website. Click here to view
- Visit the Playgroud- explore to see a preview of Hyperdrive.
- Please consider inviting me or other IMT representatives to your department and division meetings. I am happy to come share information and answer any questions.
- Teams will be rounding in the hospital to share previews and answer any questions.
