This January will be the 175th anniversary of Elizabeth Blackwell earning her medical degree. Blackwell graduated from Geneva College of Medicine, which today is Upstate Medical University.

Batista was aided on the puck drop by his 2 year-old son, Anthony.

  • GOOD SAMARITANS: Upstate Emerging Leaders United members took part in serving breakfast at Syracuse’s  Samaritan Center during a recent outreach event. Serving up the hot breakfasts are, from left, Renae Rokicki, Matthew Capogreco, Scott Neal, Bill Tan, Elizabeth Drescher and Bobbie Jo Massena. The Samaritan Center provides hot meals daily to anyone who is hungry.
