  • BALDWIN HONOR: Beth Baldwin, second from left, is honored by the Upstate Cancer Center with the creation of an oncology nurse award that will bear her name.   • COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER: Upstate Medical University President Dr Mantosh Dewan, who also is a SUNY Distinguished Service Professor, is introduced by SUNY Downstate President Dr. Wayne J Riley during SUNY Downstate’s Commencement May 11. Dewan was the Commencement speaker and also received the 2023 SUNY Downstate’s President’s Award.

Brown, MD, PhD, takes part in the faculty procession with Norton College of Medicine Dean Lawrence Chin, MD, during Commencement May 7. Brown is chief visionary officer of Impossible Foods, Inc., founder and president of the Impossible Foundation and professor emeritus at Stanford University.
