Tim Creamer, MD, will lead Upstate's Walk with a Doc March 8

Tim Creamer, MD, a clinical assistant professor of medicine, will lead Upstate’s Walk with a Doc outing March 8. Creamer, who specializes in hospital medicine, will start the outing with a discussion on what to do in an emergency.

Walk with a Doc steps off at 9 a.m. on the upstairs indoor track at the Baldwinsville YMCA, 8040 River Rd., Baldwinsville. Participants can travel at their own pace and distance while getting to know each other and the doctor.

Walk with a Doc is a nonprofit started in 2005 by Dr. David Sabgir, a cardiologist in Columbus, Ohio. Initially aimed at helping patients get more physical activity, the program's benefits go far beyond a simple walk. The opportunity to build friendships within the community, spend time in nature, and receive free health education in a relaxed setting is an all-in-one prescription for better health. There are more than 500 WWAD chapters around the world.

Upstate began its Walk with a Doc program in June. Presenters have included Felizon Agno, MD; Jarrod Bagatell, MD; Gregory Conners, MD, MPH, MBA; Timothy Creamer, MD; Leslie Kohman, MD; Gloria Morris, MD; Kaushal Nanavati, MD; Anna Shapiro, MD, and Clyde Satterly, MD.

The event is free and open to the public. Register here.
