Upstate New York Poison Center experts talk with local media about the sudden spike in synthetic drug use in our area

Ross Sullivan, MD, PharmD, Upstate New York Poison Center and Upstate University Hospital, talks about the sudden and alarming spike in synthetic drug use in Onondaga County with Jim Mulder from The Post-Standard and Ellen Abbott from WRVO. Patients using products known as synthetic drugs are presenting with various symptoms, including: agitation, paranoia, anxiety, tremors, seizures, high blood pressure and high heart rate, along with some cases of coma and slow heart rate.
