Donor families and transplant recipients came together today at Upstate University Hospital to celebrate life in recognition of National Donate Life Month. Marangeli Santiago-Freeman, above, talked with Time Warner Cable News reporter Katie Gibas about the day she and her wife, Gerry Freeman, received the call from Upstate Transplant Center, informing the couple that Gerry was a match. Marangeli received Gerry's kidney a year ago. They are both in great health today and spoke out about how the donation changed their lives for the better.
