John McCabe, M.D., named interim chief executive officer of University Hospital

John McCabe, M.D., professor and chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, has been named interim chief executive officer and senior vice president for clinical affairs of University Hospital, effective June 1. The appointment was announced today by Upstate Medical University President David R. Smith, M.D.

Medical students find their match

Fourth-year medical students at SUNY Upstate Medical University found out what specialties they will pursue and where as Match Day unfolded. Nearly 40 percent of the students who received their residency match have chosen to enter the primary care specialties.
