SUNY Upstate physician honored for work at free Syracuse health clinic

Lynn-Beth Satterly, M.D., clinical assistant professor of family medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University, has been selected to receive the 2007 St. Clare Achievement in Service award by the Franciscan Collaborative Ministries for providing free medical care to the uninsured at the Poverello Health Clinic in Syracuse. Satterly has provided medical services for the Poverello clinic for the past three years. In addition to her work at the Poverello clinic, Satterly volunteers with other outreach programs sponsored by the Franciscan Collaborative Ministries, including the Assumption Food pantry and the Alibrandi Catholic Center campus ministry at Syracuse University.

Sister McNulty joins spiritual care staff at SUNY Upstate

Sister Anne McNulty has been appointed to the chaplaincy team in the Center for Spiritual Care at SUNY Upstate Medical University. In that position, she will provide spiritual care and support to University Hospital patients and their families, as well as staff, students and volunteers. McNulty has been a Franciscan sister for 38 years.

The Eastwood Rotary Club is pleased to announce the Second Annual Live Auction to benefit Golisano Children's Hospital at University Hospital. The event will take place at Traditions at the Links, 5900 North Burdick Street, East Syracuse, on Friday, April 20, 2007. Auction items are available for preview from 6:30PM to 7:30PM, and the live auction begins at 7:30PM. Tickets are only $25.00 per person or $40.00 per couple. The price of admission includes a nice selection of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer, soda, coffee and cake. In addition to the live auction there will be a great silent auction, door prizes and a raffle.
