Parker named director of diversity and affirmative action

Donna-Marie Parker has been named director of diversity and affirmative action at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Parker will oversee all of the University's affirmative action and equal opportunity programs.

Parker joined Upstate in the human resources department in 1999, where she has worked to recruit applicants from underrepresented groups for employment at Upstate and has assisted employees with disabilities finding appropriate jobs within the institution.

Previously, she worked at Pall Trinty Micro Corp., in Cortland, as a human resources union activities assistant.

Parker earned a bachelor's degree from the SUNY College at Cortland, and is currently working toward her master's degree at SUNY College at Cortland.

Parker resides in Marathon, N.Y.
