Compliance, Privacy and Ethics gifts and gratuities notice

With the holiday season upon us, The Institutional Compliance, Privacy and Ethics Department would like to send out a reminder of the Gifts and Gratuities Policy MM P-29.

Upstate Medical University, including the main campus and all affiliated locations, does not allow employees to accept gifts, regardless of the value and form. For more information on this policy, call the Compliance Department at 315-464-6600.

For information on the collection or distribution of charitable contributions, review policies UW C-03, and UW D-02. For more information on charitable funds, call the Upstate Foundation.

Department of Spiritual Care plans caroling Dec. 20 and 23

Spiritual care chaplains, staff and volunteers will be caroling throughout Upstate University Hospital Tuesday, Dec. 20 from 3 to 5 p.m. and at Community Friday, Dec. 23 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. To arrange caroling for a special patient or department, call 315-464-4687.

Radiology shirt sales are Dec. 21 and 22

Radiology will sell shirts Dec. 21 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in 3509 Upstate University Hospital (3W Pediatric Radiology waiting room). Cash or checks will be accepted. Shirts are $20 each or two for $35. A shirt sale will also be held Dec. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lobby area at Community. To make arrangements to pay and pickup outside of the event, call Deb Dill at 315-492-5185.

Easy for You is Jan. 10

Easy for You, Upstate's tobacco treatment program, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in 7335B Upstate University Hospital. Those with an Upstate ID are welcome to receive help quitting tobacco, chew, and vape. Free nicotine replacement therapy is available.
