Upstate Open Forums today at noon and 8 p.m.
Upstate Open Forums will be held today, Aug. 10 at noon and 8 p.m.
The forums will provide an update on the process to create a combined health care system with Crouse Hospital, with the goal of improving quality of care and increasing access to care. The forums are open to the Upstate community.

Understanding MS and treatment options is Aug. 11

Upstate Foundation Walk/Run for Kids is Aug. 14
The Upstate Foundation’s second annual Walk/Run for Kids will be held Aug. 14 at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton. The event includes a 5K USATF-certified run, a two-mile walk, and a fun run for kids. The event benefits Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. More than 12,000 visits to the children’s hospital are made annually by Southern Tier families. Upstate to hold community forums on Upstate-Crouse acquisition Aug. 15 and 18
Upstate will hold two community forums to discuss the proposed Upstate-Crouse collaboration. The forums are set for Monday, Aug. 15 at North Syracuse Junior High School, 5353 Taft Road and Thursday, Aug. 18 at the Southwest Community Center, 401 South Ave., Syracuse. Both forums will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Pediatric Covid-19 update is Aug. 24
Joseph Domachowske, MD, professor of pediatrics and microbiology/immunology and pediatric infectious diseases specialist, will present a pediatric Covid-19 update Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. via Zoom. This HealthLink seminar is live, free and open to the public. Dr. Domachowske will discuss pediatric developments in Covid-19 including vaccinations, booster shots, therapeutics, and variants. Deadline for Emerging Leaders United applications is Aug. 29
Upstate employees are welcome to apply for Upstate’s chapter of Emerging Leaders United, an affinity group with United Way of Central New York. Participants of the Emerging Leaders program will represent Upstate Medical University and have the opportunity to attend leadership and community education programs, volunteer events, and network with leaders from Syracuse businesses.
