Student Profile

Profile:
I graduated from Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, with a Master's in Biotechnology in 2023. I joined Dr. Hui-Hao Lin's lab in 2024 to pursue my doctoral degree in Neuroscience at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Our lab investigates the neural circuit mechanisms that drive nutrient-specific feeding behaviors using the fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster) as a model system. We aim to explore gut hormones that respond to various nutrients and examine how the brain interprets these nutrient-specific signals. My current project delves into the molecular and neuronal mechanisms by which stress impacts feeding behavior and alcohol consumption in fruit flies, aiming to uncover insights that may have broader implications for understanding these processes in more complex organisms.
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out at a local coffee shop or exploring Upstate New York.
