I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Microbiology from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. After my graduation, I served as a Scientific Officer in our national research organization, known as Bangladesh Council of Scientific & Industrial Research. I started in the PhD Program at Upstate Medical University in Fall 2023. Currently, I am working as a graduate assistant in the Neuroscience PhD program in Dr. Ma-Li Wong’s Lab. Our goal is to develop a translational research program that spans the bench and the clinic to understand the molecular, cellular and circuit bases of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. My focus is on the investigation of Caspase 1 role in modulation of serotonin signaling in Nucleus Accumbens (NAc) during chronic stress.
