Student Profile

Profile:

I graduated from Nazareth University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology. My research training began with the PREP-Up program, under the mentorship of Dr. Yingxi Lin, where I studied the mechanisms of learning and memory. I am currently a PhD student, under the mentorship of Dr. Eric Olson. Our lab studies the fundamental mechanisms underlying neuronal migration and dendrite initiation in the developing mammalian cortex. My project focuses on the effects of fetal alcohol exposure on these processes as disruptions been implicated in many neurologic disorders including intellectual disability, autism, and epilepsy.
