Profile:

I graduated from Dickinson College in 2021 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a minor in Japanese. I received my Master's in Neuroscience at Penn State College of Medicine in 2023. My thesis was to compare signaling biases or observed effects between catechol and non-catechol dopamine D1 agonists in the context of temporal working memory operating in the medial prefrontal cortex of Fischer rats across three age-based cohorts. Throughout my childhood, I met and befriended children who were neurodiverse, especially those on the Autism spectrum. Those were some of the moments that ignited my interest in neuroscience, along with the realization that other interests I had, including music and language, are all rooted in the brain. I am currently working on my dissertation project in Dr. Weickert's lab, which is focused on the role of perineuronal nets in people with schizophrenia. I am also interested in the relationship between gut health and cognitive behavior. In my free time, I like to jog, go to the gym, bike, draw, play video games, make music with synthesizers, explore new places, and hang out with friends.
