Profile:
I graduated with a Master's degree in Biophysics and Molecular Biology from the University of Calcutta, India, in 2022. Following this, I joined SUNY Upstate Medical University as a PhD student in 2023. I am in Dr. Levi Todd's lab, where we focus on developing strategies for regenerating neurons after disease or injury in the mammalian retina. I am particularly interested in understanding the mechanisms by which neuroinflammation inhibits neuronal regeneration. My work involves identifying the cellular and molecular pathways that block neuronal regeneration with the ultimate goal of overcoming these challenges to improve regenerative strategies of the nervous system.
