Who is Eligible for Screenings?

Women who are 40 years old and older are eligible to get a screening mammogram. The mobile unit is for screening only. Women who are having problems with their breasts (lumps found, nipple discharge) should contact their physician to discuss options.

Do you take insurance?

Insurance should cover a screening but please verify with your insurance carrier ahead of time what your coverage is.

What if I do not have insurance?

If you do not have insurance, the Cancer Services Program will pay for your screening.  Please let the pre-registration person know if you don't have insurance when you are scheduling your appointment and he/she will connect you with Cancer Services.

What do I need to bring the day of my appointment?

Please bring your insurance card and photo ID the day of your appointment. 

Can I wear deodorant the day of my appointment?

No, please do not wear any deodorant or any lotions or powders in the breast or underarm area the day of your appointment.

When will I get my results?

You will be notified within 2-10 business days of your results.

What if I need follow up services?

If you need follow up services, the mobile unit’s Registered Nurse will contact you to help with getting that set up at a facility of your choice.
