Orientation

Welcome Reception

As a celebration of the arrival of the new interns, we host a Welcome Reception. The interns to join the Department of Medicine Faculty and Chief Residents for lunch.

This is done during Orientation Week so the interns get a chance to meet some of the faculty prior to starting their rotations. Everyone has a great time!

Institutional Orientation

It is mandatory that you attend Institutional Orientation. Every piece of information has been designed to benefit you and assist you in becoming familiar with the Institutional policies and procedures.

The schedule above will be updated as soon as we receive it from Graduate Medical Education.

Departmental Orientation

You are expected to attend all parts of the Departmental Orientation. Every piece of information has been designed to benefit you and assist you in becoming familiar with our program policies and procedures.

In addition, we have devised a schedule that allows for down time to take care of the last minute requirements so you are ready to start on July 1, 2021. This “free time” is carved out at various times throughout the week to allow you time to take care of things like Employee Health, SSN, NYS Driver’s License, setting up bank accounts, setting up your apartment/house, etc.

You may print a copy of the Departmental Orientation by clicking on the file below (please note we will update the schedule at least once a week, so check back frequently):
