Student Profile:

I joined SUNY Upstate in the summer of 2022 after I earned my BA in Chemical Biology and Music from Case Western Reserve University earlier that year. While completing my degrees, I also researched for four years in Dr. Mikhail Linetsky's lab. My research focused on mechanisms of oxidative stress and their effects on Alzheimer's disease and age-related macular degeneration. My capstone paper focused on the detection of novel pseudo-leukotriene compounds using LC/MS. A fun fact about me is that I’m actually a classically-trained opera singer, though you’re more likely to find me singing pop and rock music these days. My other hobbies include reading and creative writing.
