Student Profile:

I graduated from CUNY Queens College in 2016 with dual majors in neuroscience and philosophy, and entered SUNY Upstate’s MD/PhD program the following year. I work in Dr. Eduardo Solessio’s lab where I have developed an operant-behavioral assay for measuring the absolute visual sensitivity of mice. I am currently using this assay, in conjunction with transgenic techniques and mathematical modelling, to understand how the different neural circuits of the retina contribute to the most sensitive aspects of vision.
