Student Profile:
etics. During my time at RU, I studied spindle formation in Drosophila oogenesis and found a deep interest in developmental genetics and rare diseases. After graduation, I continued my time at RU by working for an evolutionary development lab and a hair cell regeneration lab, both furthered my interest in developmental genetics. Currently, I am doing my thesis work in Dr. Jeffery Amack’s lab on the genetics of organogenesis and body patterning in the zebrafish embryo. Outside of research, I greatly enjoy watercolor, embroidery, cooking and baking, and my super senior cat, Nikos! I also help to run the part of the local Lindy Hop scene here in CNY.
