Student Profile:

Prior to coming to upstate, I completed my BSc. and MSc. degrees in Pathology and Molecular Medicine at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. At Queen’s, I studied under Dr. David Berman where my work focused on developing and validating immunohistochemical algorithms for the molecular subtyping of genitourinary cancers. Through this work I gained a love for all things pathology and cancer biology, and a soft spot for translational work at the frontier of medicine and research. I developed a keen interest in biomarker discovery and validation, and the application of AI, machine learning, and genomic profiling in disease management. Outside of my academic life, I love drawing, painting, and making music, as well as staying active playing soccer, rock climbing, snowboarding, or horseback riding!
