Student Profile:
I majored in Biochemistry at SUNY New Paltz, class of 2015. I enrolled in the MD/PhD Program at Upstate Medical University in 2017. Currently, I am completing my PhD in the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology under the guidance of Dr. Leszek Kotula, MD/PhD. The Kotula Lab focuses on understanding the molecular pathways and cellular mechanisms regulated by ABI1, an adaptor and scaffolding protein, in tumor progression, treatment resistance and prognosis. My PhD thesis work is focused on deciphering the molecular pathways regulated by ABI1 which mediate T-cell activation.
